Character Rigging Show reel -2018

Hello guys, I am presenting my character rigging show reel of this semester.  I really liked rigging I enjoyed doing it initially it was kind of tough but as we learnt the concepts it became friendly.  Skinning is the most important part the we learnt which is quite tricky.  we started with basic constrains method to a cambot Ik-Fk  then move on to Ik spline rig after that we learnt skinning with the shark rig and then we did both Ik and Fk rig and a ribbon hand rig finally we rigged the face with all those minutes details giving animator more detailed controls.  Hope u all like it. Dynamics Show reel -2018

Hi, everyone this is my dynamics show reel which I was working on from many days , I have used maya dynamics and ndynamics then it as been composited using Ae and Pr.  It was very fun doing it understanding new concepts day by day. We started with minute particles in dynamics and finally ended with the simulations like fire and smoke in ndynamics. Hope u all like it. Thank you.

Fight animation

Hi everyone, I have planed a fight shot then I stareted working on it with my re fences and sis a basic storyboard then i did my 2d planning , then i started working on 3d. Some of the poses were really hard to come up with but somehow I have managed. I tried to get my blocking correct so that it would make a work a bit easier in the graph, but at the end of the shots i could maintain much  so have to work on graph. I will do the graph and update it as soon as possible. Thank you

Walk cycle

Hi everyone, i have done a funny walk cycle of little girl , I started with initial blocking poses of walk cycle then with one my reference of a girl walk i am able to come up this out put. I haven't worked completely on the graph yet will update soon. Thank you

Book rig

Hi guys , in this assignment we rigged a book , we used joints for book cover and pages then skinned them and then used component editor to get proper folding.  Then for the pages we used blend hapes to get proper deformation with rotation and then for fan pages we used a script. Tree rig

Hi guys in this assignment we rigged a cartoon tree , we used joints and spline ik for the trunk part and then to get stretch  and to preserve used a script.  The various deformation in the trunk part is due to blend-shapes with deformers like twist and flare.  And leaves are also rigged using joints,ik and curves which for turned into dynamic curves and thus the leave rig is mainly because of the dynamics. Cater pillar chain

Hello everyone, in this assignment we created a rotating chain using motion path and the joints and spline ik.  The use the offset of the ik and linked to a control to get the movement.  Then wheels have been added time function for their rotation. chain controls : Chain rotation attribute: Expression for the wheels: Outliner: RigTest: Thank you.

Tony robot rig

Hi guys here I am back with  another character rig, this time we are again rigging a robot and we have named it as tony. We have both FK and IK controls for the hands and for the spine we have used the Ik spline handle and also we have used reverse foot lock mechanism for the leg portion. Thank you.

Dynamics simulation

Hi guys this is my dynamics simulation assignment in Maya, we worked on rigid bodies like active and passive and then we worked on fields like gravity, uniform, turbulence etc and its attributes for our simulations, we also used some dynamic constraints also.  It was quite time consuming but we enjoyed the process.  Thank You

Squirrel animation

Hello everyone this is my first character animation, I really enjoyed animating a character.  We downloaded a squirrel rig from online then used it for our assignment.  I initially started with flash with my basic planning.  Then I took the jpeg sequence of my flash animation then used it as reference for my d animation through fcheck and then importing it into the scene.  Firstly I fixed the camera, then I made a model of a primitive refrigerator as required by my plan.   Then I kept tangents in step tangents and then started blocking my animation.  It took a lot of time since for the first time we are were doing the character animation and once I finished with the squirrel body blocking, the tail blocking was a big challenge, however after many days finally I got average level tail movement then I started of tweaking the graph it also was very time consuming but I liked the working on it getting slow in and slow out it was quite fun even though initially it was scary looking at the
